# Haptics

> Tactile feedback on taps, selections and outcomes.

```tsx theme={null}
import { useHaptics } from '@cskn/sdk';
function Actions() {
  const haptics = useHaptics();
  return (
    <>
      <button onClick={() => haptics.impact('medium')}>Tap</button>
      <button onClick={() => haptics.selection()}>Select</button>
      <button onClick={() => haptics.notification('success')}>Done</button>
    </>
  );
}
```

| Method | Styles | Default |
| - | - | - |
| `impact(style)` | `light`, `medium`, `heavy` | `light` |
| `notification(style)` | `success`, `warning`, `error` | `error` |
| `selection()` | — | — |

Functions: `hapticsImpact`, `hapticsNotification`, `hapticsSelection`. Off-shell they do nothing.

## Turning haptics off

@cskn/ui components (`Pressable`, `Button`, `TabBar`, `Switch`, `Toast`…) already fire haptics. To silence all of them, and every direct call, opt out once before rendering:

```tsx main.tsx theme={null}
import { setHapticsEnabled } from '@cskn/sdk';
setHapticsEnabled(false);
```

`isHapticsEnabled()` reads the current setting.
